IT Program Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Release Manager - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of defined deliverables which require engagement from multiple teams. The key responsibilities include communicating release objectives, coordinating delivery, managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables to ensure execution meets the client's expectations in terms of quality and timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver defined deliverables requiring engagement from multiple teams
• Effectively communicate release objectives, coordinate delivery, and manage risks
• Ensure compliance to standards and provide end-to-end visibility to the health of deliverables
• Ensure execution and delivery meets client expectations in terms of quality and timelines
• Facilitate sync points across multiple organizations to enable delivery

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a release manager
• Primary Skill: BMC Remedy
• Secondary Skill: Agile tools (Jira)
• Tertiary Skill: Change Management
• Extremely proficient in JIRA, Excel, Release processes, Testing support and coordination, and end-to-end Release coordination

Desired skills:

• Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer working experience
• Understand release/deployment components
• Understand risks and can implement necessary controls to mitigate
• Facilitate team planning ceremonies against release milestones
• Ability to answer team Agile/waterfall framework questions
• Ability to understand the big picture and connect all details
