As a skilled RN, you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional care in our Cardiac Catheterization unit. You will work independently and collaboratively to manage both routine and complex clinical situations, focusing on providing safe and effective care to patients. Key Responsibilities :
- Exhibit proficiency in the OneCHRISTUS Competencies, which include leadership at various levels.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care through all phases of the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address the multifaceted psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient information including history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess and meet the learning needs of patients, family members, and caregivers; identify challenges and available resources.
Requirements : Education :
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.Experience :
Preferred : 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty.Licenses and Certifications :
BLS required.Registered Nurse License in the state of employment or compact license.Current ACLS certification required.Position Expectations :
All newly hired experienced RNs must complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days.New hires will be precepted by a trained staff member and must complete initial onboarding requirements successfully.Annual competency verification is mandatory.Experience Differentiation :
We welcome applicants with one year of critical care experience, or new graduates eager to begin their nursing careers.Grace Periods for Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) : No grace period.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) : 30 days for experienced associates, 90 days for new graduates.Pediatric Life Support (PALS) : 30 days for experienced associates, 90 days for new graduates.Other certifications as applicable.Schedule : Multiple shifts available.
Type of Position : Per Diem as needed.
