Paralegal

Description Robert Half is partnering with a highly respected law firm to find a Trust & Estates Paralegal. This role is ideal for a experienced professional who thrives in a client-focused environment and is passionate about supporting families through complex legal processes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in estate and trust planning, administration, probate, and guardianship matters. Key Responsibilities : Draft pleadings, orders, and court documents for probate and guardianship proceedings. Manage probate and trust administration processes. Assist clients in locating and collecting estate and trust assets. Evaluate asset-related documents for accuracy and potential exploitation. Prepare detailed accountings for guardianships, estates, and trusts. Coordinate asset transfers and trust funding in accordance with legal documents and client instructions. Communicate with financial institutions, accountants, and vendors to facilitate asset management. Update beneficiary designations for retirement accounts and insurance policies. Obtain tax identification numbers and maintain communication with the IRS. Oversee the collection and distribution of assets. Provide proactive client communication and follow-up. Support attorneys with discovery and litigation related to estate and trust matters. Requirements Qualifications : 5-8+ years of experience in guardianships, probate, and trust administration. Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred. Strong understanding of probate and guardianship legal processes. Financial and asset management experience with solid math / accounting skills. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and proofreading abilities. Excellent time management and communication skills. High level of confidentiality and professionalism. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and PDF tools. Experience with document management systems and client matter organization.
