General Clerk III

Position Summary :

A General Clerk III performs a wide range of administrative and clerical duties that require judgment and some subject-matter knowledge, often including handling a variety of records, preparing reports, and assisting with administrative matters. This role may involve data entry, document management, and responding to inquiries, as well as potentially directing lower-level clerks. Key responsibilities often include maintaining filing systems, managing mail, verifying information, and compiling data, while working independently within established procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain and organize a wide variety of records, both manually and electronically. This includes filing, scanning, and managing physical and digital documents according to established procedures and standards.
• Compile and verify data for accuracy, input information into databases, and generate reports.
• Assist with various administrative tasks such as copying, mailing, and ordering supplies.
• Handle and respond to inquiries from the public or internal staff via phone, email, or in person.
• Draft and prepare routine correspondence and reports.
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
