The Lead Teacher is expected to engage in ongoing learning to strengthen his / her understanding of child development and the Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for promoting the vision for quality early childhood services that anchors the organization.

Essential Responsibilities :

Structure a learning environment that promotes child health and safety

Plan and lead classroom instruction that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children

Actively engage with families to ensure parents / caregivers are knowledgeable about the child’s program

Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including the incorporation of transitions and age-appropriate opportunities

Create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for students that is conducive to learning

Support implementation of behavior plans and / or IFSP / IEP goals, as appropriate

Essential Qualifications (Must have at

least one )

NYS Teaching Certification B-2 or Equivalent

BA in ECE (Early Childhood Education) and currently pursuing MA / Teacher certification - Study Plan Eligible –

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
