Data Steward Data Governance

The primary responsibility of the Data Steward is to ensure the accuracy consistency and integrity of data within our organization. The Data Steward will collaborate with the Data Governance Team in implementing data governance processes resolving data quality issues and supporting Master Data Management (MDM) efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of data management principles.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Data Governance Team to implement and maintain data governance processes policies and procedures.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data quality issues resolve inconsistencies and ensure adherence to data standards and guidelines.

Assist in data profiling and data cleansing activities to improve data quality and accuracy.

Participate in data matching and data consolidation efforts reviewing match results and providing recommendations for data resolution.

Support the Data Governance Team in monitoring and reporting data quality metrics and key performance indicators.

Act as a point of contact for data-related inquiries and provide guidance to users on data governance best practices.

Ensure data documentation and metadata management are accurate and up-to-date.

Collaborate with IT team members to ensure proper data integration security and privacy measures are in place.

Assist in the development and maintenance of data quality reports and dashboards.

Stay updated with industry trends advancements in data management practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications : Competencies

• Solid understanding of data management principles including data quality data integrity data governance and metadata management.
• Strong attention to detail to identify and resolve data quality issues inconsistencies and gaps.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams articulate data governance concepts and provide guidance to users.
• Ability to analyze data identify patterns and recommend data resolution strategies.
• Familiarity with data profiling and data cleansing techniques to improve data quality.
• Understanding of data governance principles industry standards and best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot data-related issues investigate root causes and propose solutions.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team including the Data Governance Analyst and other stakeholders.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities technologies and organizational needs.
• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends advancements in data management practices and emerging technologies.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in both an office and casino environment.

Position Type / Expected Work Hours

This is a full-time position. Must be flexible regarding schedule with the ability to work varied days and times.

Education and / or Experience

Language Skills

Ability to read analyze and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals instructions emails and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.

Age Certifications and Work Cards

21 years of age or above.

A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position.
