Responsibilities : Operational Leadership Lead daily Technical Lab Operations to achieve business, quality, and customer service goals. Ensure consistency in laboratory standards in collaboration with System Technical Directors. Guide and develop the Technical Services Leadership team, ensuring strong frontline leadership. Drive employee engagement and address opportunities identified through engagement surveys. Maintain consistent communication through meetings, memos, and other channels. Partner with Lab Support leadership to ensure seamless patient care and shift transitions. Participate in management meetings, committees, and cross-functional initiatives. Staffing & Team Development Develop and manage departmental staffing plans, rotating schedules, and daily work assignments. Recruit, train, and develop staff through coaching, continuing education, competency assessments, and performance evaluations. Provide leadership accountability, including goal setting, corrective actions, and performance documentation. Oversee training programs and maintain regulatory documentation for the Technical Services Team. Ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions; guide leadership on scheduling and overtime management. Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Lead quality assurance activities, including workflow improvement, metric reporting, and troubleshooting. Support budget creation and management, balancing cost control with quality expectations. Develop and enforce safety, ergonomic, and compliance policies in accordance with regulatory standards. Write, revise, and implement technical and departmental procedures consistent with the company Quality Program and CLIA requirements. Ensure consistent readiness for inspections and accreditations. Maintain technical competence through ongoing professional development. Required Experience : Bachelor's degree and current ASCP(MLT / MLS) certification required. 5-7 years of experience in chemistry and / or hematology; Blood Transfusion Services experience preferred, with proven success in increasing lab responsibilities. Demonstrated leadership in budget management, inspection readiness, procedure and policy development, lab safety, policy enforcement, and conflict resolution. Strong stress tolerance and ability to lead effectively in challenging situations. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
