[job_card.job_description]Work 12-hour shifts starting at 6 : 45 AM or 6 : 45 PM Every other weekend schedule required 2-year minimum experience in specialty required, no first-time travelers Must be comfortable with fresh open hearts (experience within past 12 months required) Knowledge of balloon pumps and CRRT required Must be willing to float between ICU units (SICU, CCU, ICU) when CVICU census is low May float to 4AB stepdown unit or ED for tasks Patient ratios : 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 depending on acuity (open heart cases are 1 : 1) Work with standard ICU drips and Draeger ventilators Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must have strong ICU skills and assessment abilities for high acuity patients Experience needed with sepsis, DKA, pneumonia, ARDS, MODS, CV surgeries, and post vascular procedures Must be well-rounded with medical, surgical, and cardiac experience Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient presentations Dress code : forest green or white pants with white top Use Meditech charting system Work flexibly with core staff in assigned primary unit with pod-style floating Cancellation policy : 12 hours every 2 weeks Must live within 75-mile radius of facility Referral bonus
