Therapy Assistant (Rehab) - Casual

As a Therapy Assistant you will work with a Person Centred Care team with guidance from Therapists and / or Manager. You will perform your duties for Rehabilitation Services in accordance with set Guidelines, Standards and Best Practices. Duties include providing assistance, cueing, instruction and leadership in a variety of rehabilitative activities. These may include scheduling and leading exercise programs, scheduling, preparing and assisting Therapists with prescribed treatments and programs, and assisting with mobility equipment adjustments and maintenance. Qualifications

Graduation from a recognized Therapy Diploma program (or equivalent) is required. Consideration may be given to those who have trained and worked as a Therapist in another country. Experience working with Geriatric population is an asset. Personal Competencies : Beginner level of Microsoft Office application experience is required. Basic knowledge of medical conditions and knowledge of the impact of a disease process on the functional ability of the patient, is required. Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
