Plum is a new restaurant in Downtown Durham, located at 501 Washington St. We are looking for a full time line cook : hours will be 2PM until 10 : 30; Thursday-Monday.

Experience would be great but not mandatory. positive attitude and eagerness to better yourself is a must!

Our Goal at Plum is to provide an excellent working environment and standard of living. All positions are GUARANTEED $15 / Hour We also provide family meal and paid time to eat. If you have dietaries we will respect them to insure everyone is fed and ready for service.

Our menu is filled with Southern inspired deliciousness, including chicken and dumplings, shrimp and grits and BBQ of course. We make almost everything from scratch including charcuterie, vinegars, pickles and jam. (We don’t mess with mayonnaise because, well; Duke’s already exists). We pick up produce from the Durham Farmers market each Saturday, where local farms, producers and craftsmen bring their best products. We care about this community and are always looking for products and people that are passionate about it, too. Job Requirements : We seek applicants eager to learn and grow. We are not hiring based on experience, though some kitchen experience is helpful. At Plum we are looking for team players who want to become better cooks. We are willing to train you and ask, in return, that you work hard and learn / grow from mistakes.
