UNIV - Open Rank - Pediatric Neurologist : Epilepsy - Pediatrics : Neurology

Overview

The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Pediatric Neurologist / Epileptologist. Candidates must be eligible or certified by the ABPN with Special Qualification in Child Neurology and eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical services in pediatric neurology at MUSC Children’s Hospital.
• Collaborate with a division currently comprising seven faculty members and four Advanced Practice Providers.
• Contribute to MUSC’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, designated as a Level IV epilepsy center, and participate in multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment services for patients from infancy to young adulthood; adult patients are cared for at MUSC Hospital.
• Engage with Neurophysiology Lab services including EEG, EMG, Intraoperative Monitoring, and intracranial / extracranial vascular imaging, in conjunction with the Level IV Epilepsy Center.
• Leverage additional specialty services such as speech language pathology and neuropsychology as part of comprehensive patient care.
