Unit Description :

Unit Capacity : 33 Beds Population Served : Post surgical floor specializing in ortho, oncology and neurology. Ages of Patients Served : Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+) Nurse to Patient Ratios : 1 : 6 Core Staffing Plan : Variable staffing grid to include : Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Staffing Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification OCN certification is strongly encouraged Floating Between Units / Facilities Travelers may be asked to float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius of their original assignment. Floating will be based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity. Travelers will always be notified before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is required.
