We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant for our manufacturing sector. This dynamic role will be a key player in our Accounting + Finance team, where you will be responsible for managing financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and a deep understanding of GAAP. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse team, handle complex accounting tasks, and contribute to the financial success of our company.

Responsibilities :

As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include :

1. Overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures.

2. Managing the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data.

3. Performing account reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies or irregularities.

4. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

5. Preparing and presenting financial reports to management, stakeholders, and external auditors.

6. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.

7. Participating in the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

8. Ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

9. Collaborating with other departments to streamline accounting processes and operations.

10. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff, as needed.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should possess the following qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification would be an added advantage.

2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

3. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.

4. Thorough knowledge of GAAP and experience with month-end close procedures.

5. Excellent skills in managing and reconciling accounts.

6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

11. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
