Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible to produce designs for generator enclosures, UL listed fuel tanks, sub-frames and service platforms. Direction will be given from the engineering manager through submittal drawings and schedule to carry out the detail production design. It will be the engineer's responsibility to take the customer approval package and create a production ready design with minimal supervision.

• Create production ready model, drawings, and work packets of products within estimate hours.
• Manage engineering from approved customer drawing package through final production stage.
• Perform engineering calculations for wind and seismic loading including design of reinforcement structure if required.
• Quickly resolve any issues on the shop floor with production manager.
• Ensure designs conform to company design standards.
• Responsible for accuracy of drawings to prevent rework and scrap.
• Follow and adhere to production schedule for production design release dates to shop floor.
• Write and release standard process documentation as required.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.
