EHS Manager
Location : Geneva, NY
Base Salary Range : $110-125k per year

We are seeking an EHS / Environmental Compliance Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening site safety culture, and driving continuous improvement across environmental and safety performance. The position serves as the primary EHS leader at the site, partnering closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for all site Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.
- Conduct assessments of site EHS performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze EHS metrics and apply technical expertise to improve safety and environmental outcomes.
- Serve as the site subject matter expert for environmental compliance and safety programs.
- Coach and support operations and leadership teams to meet EHS program requirements.
- Develop and implement programs, procedures, and practices to reduce safety risks and environmental impact.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Act as the primary site contact for regulatory agencies, audits, and inspections.
- Lead EHS audits and governance initiatives to maintain regulatory alignment.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action implementation.
- Implement and manage site hazard identification, risk assessment, and observation programs.
- Partner cross-functionally to develop and deliver site-wide EHS training programs.
- Track, maintain, and report key EHS metrics and KPIs.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and ensure ongoing site compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering, Science, or a related field.5+ years of experience supporting environmental compliance and EHS programs in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong experience with EPA regulations, hazardous materials management, and wastewater compliance.Demonstrated experience leading safety and environmental management systems.Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Experience
Professional EHS certifications (CSP or equivalent).Experience leading or developing high-performing EHS teams.Exposure to continuous improvement or operational excellence initiatives.Experience leveraging digital or analytics tools to support EHS programs.
