Account Manager

Alera Group is looking for an Account Manager. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

Alera Group was founded in 2017 and has grown to become the 15th largest broker of US business. We are passionate about our clients success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to client and account executive / producer requests
  • Manage policy files, endorsements, invoicing discrepancies, and maintain computer records per procedure
  • Collect and analyze data on assigned accounts, identifying cross-selling opportunities and market trends
  • Review and market insurance applications, making recommendations and negotiating coverage and premiums with carriers
  • Prepare clear quotations, coverage summaries, proposals, and recommendations for clients and prospects
  • Participate in agency training, meetings, and adhere to attendance policies
  • Pursue and complete CIC courses aiming to obtain the CIC designation within a reasonable timeframe

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent people skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum of two years prior experience as an assistant account manager or account manager in a retail insurance setting
  • Completion of CISR designation or INS insurance courses
  • Score 80% or more on agencys account manager commercial lines test
  • Fire & Casualty license

    This job is fully remote.

    Salary range is $65K to $95K per year.
