Quality Engineer, Receiving and Vehicle Quality

The Quality Engineer Receiving and Vehicle Quality will interact with quality manufacturing engineering and fleet operations to ensure that parts received at Zoox meet quality and documentation expectations and that products released to service meet design specifications functionality customer expectations and have required documentation. A successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines have strong interpersonal and communication skills be detail-oriented and be able to work independently.

In this role you will :

• Maintain quality and inventory records for receiving inspection
• Coordinate rework activities with responsible part owners and supplier quality engineers
• Design champion and execute strategic continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the receiving inspection production quality audit and vehicle release processes
• Work cross-functionally with Supplier Quality Manufacturing and Vehicle Development to strategically resolve systemic product and process issues
• Support the development and review of PFMEA and Control Plans to ensure compliance and robust risk mitigation strategies for all critical manufacturing processes
• Communicate technical results clearly and accurately and drive issues to successful closure

Base Salary Range

There are three major components to compensation for this position : salary Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling as well as positioning within a level is determined by a range of factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant years of experience domain knowledge and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
