Position Summary
The Director of Marketing will lead the company’s brand strategy and integrated marketing initiatives. This role will be responsible for shaping the company’s market presence, commercial product offering, and articulating the value proposition to the market and align internal teams around a cohesive market strategy.
This position requires a blend of technical depth, business acumen, and strategic marketing expertise—ideal for a leader who can translate complex battery technology into compelling business solutions for automotive OEMs and energy storage suppliers. This position requires a strategic thinker with proven experience in marketing leadership, complemented by a data-driven approach to campaign performance and storytelling. This role must have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the ability to perform duties effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and executive a long-term marketing strategy that aligns with corporate goals and business growth targets.
- Serve as brand guardian, ensuring consistency of messaging, visual identity, and positioning across all channels and business units.
Product Management
- Own the regional product portfolio strategy, including lifecycle planning and market coverage.
- Lead new product introductions and ensure cataloging excellence for global applications.
- Collaborate with R&D and operations to define product features and value propositions.
Marketing & Brand
- Lead integrated campaigns across digital, print, social media, and traditional channels to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
- Develop and implement regional brand positioning and communication strategies.
- Manage packaging, promotions, and digital presence tailored to global customers.
- Drive trade marketing initiatives across customers.
Pricing & Commercial Strategy
- Define and execute regional pricing strategies, including discount structures and competitive benchmarking.
- Monitor pricing performance and support sales teams with pricing analytics.
Market Insights
- Lead market intelligence efforts to identify customer needs, competitive trends, and growth opportunities.
- Integrate insights into product development, marketing campaigns, and strategic planning.
Events
- Oversee participation in major industry conferences, events, trade shows, and speaking engagements to enhance visibility and credibility.
Collaboration & Execution
- Partner with regional sales, operations, and global teams to ensure cohesive execution.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
Resource Management
- Manage vendor/agency relationships to ensure quality, efficiency and ROI.
- Oversee departmental budget and track performance against KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or related field; preferred Master’s degree in a similar field.
- 5+ years in automotive technologies or energy storage systems
- Experience with technology B2B commercialization (energy storage, semiconductors, materials science or automotive sectors preferred)
- Automotive aftermarket experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading through influence.
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Proven ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
- Fluency in mandarin is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally
