Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025 , is excited to announce a full-time grant-funded opening for the position of Pre-Release Employment Navigator – P11690 with Department of Corrections – Region 2 (Madison – Volusia) . What You’ll Do

As a Pre-Release Employment Navigator , you will report to the lead educator or Assistant Warden and play a key role in delivering services through cell-front and / or congregate settings. The services provided shall include :

In-person and virtual facilitation of inmate training relative to employability and life skills;

Interpretation of assessments;

Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered;

Collaborating with facility staff (Assistant Warden / Classification Supervisor / Release Officer) to establish pre-release connections with community providers and employers; and

Assisting the facility with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have :

An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma, and Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Preference given to candidates with an associate’s degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.
