As a Security Professional - Flex Armed Access in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. Whether you're looking to supplement your income or take the first step toward a full-time role, this position offers unmatched access to hands-on experience and growth opportunities. As an Access Control Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This position requires both armed responsibilities and driving duties. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help prevent unwanted activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $21.45 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting visitors in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and / or client representatives regarding access control matters and security-related incidents.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with evacuations or access control during critical events.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
