The Department of Transportation Services is looking for a Maintenance Management Information Systems Specialist (Planner VI) to o versee the development and implementation of the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) for rail including the design business rules data requirements access privileges and business processes.

As a Maintenance Management Information Systems Specialist (Planner VI) your duties and responsibilities will include :

• Responsibility for overseeing MMIS process improvements.
• Ensuring the MMIS provides users with access to incident tracking asset tracking service request and work order tracking maintenance planning inventory purchasing warranty claims key performance indicators and reports.
• Reviewing project and program material requirements analyze current inventory levels and recommend additional ordering quantities and appropriate delivery schedules.
• Ensuring the Contractor is fully utilizing the MMIS implementing new patches and versions addressing MMIS issues and making sure the system operates with resilience.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT :

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelors degree in information systems public or business administration or related field.

Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college / university in the United order to receive credit for the education a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program evidence of comparability or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT :

Four years of experience performing Maintenance Management Information System and inventory control work as a primary function two of which must have been in a large public or private transportation organization.
