Portland Public Schools : Elementary Long Term Substitute Teacher

Portland Public Schools seeks innovative and passionate education substitutes to join our elementary team to work as a long term substitute at Oakwood Elementary for the remainder of the 25 / 26 school year. Daily stipend of $220 for certified substitute or $180 for non certified substitute

The desired candidate would possess the following attributes :

Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning practices

Exceptional communication analysis interpersonal and organizational skills

Understanding of PBIS and MTSS initiatives

Ability to handle complex and stressful issues or situations with sound judgment common sense and a calm demeanor

Impeccable character a good sense of humor and compassion for elementary school students families and staff

Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications :

Possess a valid Michigan Teachers Certificate or Substitute Permit.

Ability to plan deliver and assess student learning

Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with students staff parents and district colleagues

Demonstrated ability to sustain and improve student achievement outcomes

Willingness to contribute to a safe school climate of high expectations and strong collaboration high staff and student morale and positive community involvement
