Certifications : BLS-AHA, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours) Must-Have : - Recent Emergency Department experience within the past six months. - Demonstrated level of performance and practice. - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans. - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Description : The Emergency Department RNs must be ready to care for patients in critical situations. They provide specialized and innovative services and must handle a variety of emergency situations for patients of all ages. Emergency Department nurses are trained to manage trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions. Ideal candidates will quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with physical and mental health conditions. They must prioritize injuries and medical needs effectively. This is a fast-paced, high patient acuity Pediatric Emergency Department. The department can experience a patient volume of up to 80 visits per day. Candidates must be highly reliable and available to work all days except those disclosed prior to the offer. They must not have alternative jobs that interfere with the schedule being a priority. Candidates must float within the department, including Adult Emergency, Pediatric Emergency, and Intermediate Care.
