The Machine Operator - Fabrication will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operator, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned fabrication machines.

LOCATION : Onsite - 1509 Hamilton Rd, Bossier City, LA 71111

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Performing necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Operating / monitoring multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
  • Adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
  • Housekeeping and sanitation.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES :

  • High school diploma / GED required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Machine Shop.
  • Must have the ability to follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Must have the ability to read fabrication / welding blueprints, schematics and manuals.
  • Analytical Skills and high-level attention to detail are both required.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Physical stamina, strength, and ability to handle heavy equipment are required.
  • Must be able to multitask.

  • Work primarily takes place on the manufacturing factory floor.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Must possess general manual dexterity to operate computer, equipment, tools, controls, or other objects; reach with hands or arms.
  • Must possess mental acuity for attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Must see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Must hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
