Job Description

A leading production company in the manufacturing of grout and concrete is seeking a long-term Production Lead. This role is pivotal in overseeing production activities and ensuring the seamless operation of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production activities, including batching, mixing, measuring, and finishing of concrete products.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality and minimizing waste.
• Monitor raw material usage and inventory levels; coordinate with procurement and logistics teams.
• Operate and oversee the maintenance of production equipment.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Train and mentor production staff on concrete handling, equipment operation, and quality control procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues, including mix inconsistencies, equipment malfunctions, and environmental conditions.
• Maintain accurate production records, including batch tickets, quality logs, and shift reports.
• Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to ensure product specifications are met.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and improve product consistency.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and finished products using a forklift.
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently according to company guidelines.
• Follow all safety regulations and workplace procedures.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial environment where steel-toed shoes are required. Personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and respiratory masks are provided. The position operates on a 3rd shift schedule, Friday to Sunday from 5 am to 5 : 30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Mirada, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00 / hr.
