CNC Machinist / Programmer – Leland, NC

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our team at our machine shop in Leland, NC. This role provides the opportunity to work with a variety of manual and automated machines to produce and repair precision parts that meet exact specifications.

Schedule :

Monday – Friday | 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM

What You’ll Do :

  • Operate and maintain manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and Wire EDM.
  • Program CNC machines and work from blueprints, drawings, or sample parts.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure parts meet tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Plan machining sequences, determine batch sizes, and set speeds and feeds for optimal efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Proven experience as a machinist or CNC programmer.
  • Ability to operate and / or program manual, semi-automated, or automated machines to machine and / or fabricate parts from drawings or samples.
  • Experience with CNC lathe, milling, and manual machining.
  • Experience with MasterCam and Inventor software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of metal properties and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strong math and analytical skills to use precision measuring instruments to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
