Maintenance Lead

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. Reporting to the QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, Environment) Supervisor, you will support and meet customer performance indicators within your scope of responsibility. Your typical schedule will be Monday - Friday, from 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm and will be paid weekly at $30.00 per hour with a full benefits package.

How you create impact

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required preventative maintenance and service

Perform a variety of logistic equipment maintenance functions and quickly respond to any immediate maintenance issues

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment

Detect faulty operations and defective materials, document, and report issues

Coordinate with external vendors to ensure work quality

Comply with safety regulations; maintain a clean and organized work areas such as lock out tag out and 5S

Use full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists; climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation

Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

Perform other tasks as assigned and work overtime and weekends if needed

What we would like you to bring

High school diploma or equivalent

3+ years of experience in a maintenance role in a warehousing / industrial environment

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds each, and occasionally a push and pull wheeled dolly with products up to 100 pounds

Dexterity in eye / hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion / rotation)

Can stand or walk for up to 8 hours at a time
