[job_card.job_description]Working knowledge of injection molding, metal forming, fabrication, and finishing processes, including related tooling and equipment Strong technical writing skills for quote packages, specifications, and process documentation High attention to detail with the ability to maintain exacting standards Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams Ability to establish performance standards and provide feedback and coaching to internal teams and external suppliers Familiarity with CAD systems / software for product and tooling design Knowledge of fixture design, sensors, PLCs and basic programming, error-proofing, and automation concepts Experience with APQP, GD&T, quality standards, and cosmetic / appearance requirements Understanding of raw materials, manufacturing methods, and cost-effective alternatives Strong organizational, problem-solving, and Microsoft Office skills Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment preferred

Position Overview
Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for one of our clients in the Ann Arbor, MI area. This role will support production initiatives by serving as a key link between Manufacturing Engineering and Product Design while driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational performance.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a liaison between Manufacturing Engineering and Product Design teams to support production initiatives
- Perform routine process analyses to evaluate overall performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Champion and implement process improvement initiatives across the plant
- Monitor plant KPIs independently, identify performance gaps, and drive corrective actions
- Collaborate with direct reports and cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
