Acara Solutions seeks an Advanced Systems Engineer for our client in Scottsdale, AZ.
- As an Advanced Systems Engineer – Tracking Systems Engineer supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground Mission Integration (GMI) program, you will play a key role in the design, development, integration, and deployment of a state-of-the-art ground operational system.
- This system enables real-time mission operations, data tracking, and communication across multiple space and ground assets within the SDA architecture.
- You will work within a multi-disciplinary team of systems, software, and hardware engineers to ensure robust tracking capabilities, high system reliability, and seamless integration with existing and future SDA mission components.
- Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
- Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases.
- Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meets system mission needs.
Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.Minimum of 5 years of Ground system design or scheduling experience.Minimum of 5 years of tracking mission design experience.Minimum of 5 years of Satellite communications experience.Minimum of 5 years of Ground to Satellite communication experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in System / Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture.Preferred Skills / Qualifications :
Master's Degree.Agile experience.Systems Engineering : Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on.Software / Systems engineering : Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software / systems design.Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) : Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or MagicDraw.Programming and Tools Skills : Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.Cloud Computing : Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.Simulation and Modeling : Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications.Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle.Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success.Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.Strong presentation and communication skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions.Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
