Systems Analyst
This role is ideal for a systems support professional who understands Windows servers, can start / reset servers, and can partner closely with business teams to ensure smooth operations. The Systems Analyst will coordinate patching activities, perform smoke testing, and support system requests within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide systems support for Windows servers, including performing server restarts and basic troubleshooting.
- Serve as a primary contact for system support requests, including taking calls, documenting issues, and driving resolution through ServiceNow or Salesforce.
- Coordinate Windows security patching by following established methodologies, working closely with the patch management team, and ensuring business partners are aligned on schedules and expectations. (Note : this role does not apply patches directly.)
- Perform smoke testing and validation of systems after patches or updates using established test procedures.
- Collaborate daily with business partners to understand needs, communicate status updates, and ensure system reliability.
- Support SQL-related tasks, including running queries, basic troubleshooting, and validating data as needed.
- Conduct light scripting or automation work in PowerShell as required.
- Work alongside internal teams, including a system administrator on the business side, to maintain a stable and secure environment.
- Utilize ServiceNow as the primary incident management platform for tracking and resolving issues.
- Maintain operations within a high-availability Windows environment, ensuring uptime, security, and compliance with internal standards.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of systems support experience, preferably in enterprise environments.Strong knowledge of Windows serversHands-on experience with SQL for basic operational tasks.Familiarity with PowerShell (light development or scripting).Experience with ServiceNow or Salesforce for incident management.Proven experience coordinating patch cycles, system updates, and communication across technical and business teams.Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform smoke testing and follow documented test procedures.Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.Additional Details
Position is located in Midtown :Onsite 5 days / week to start, transitioning to 4 days onsite / 1 day remote.Standard hours : 8 AM 5 PM with flexible core hours.Must be comfortable working in a complex HA environment with rigorous Windows security patching requirements.
