Specific schedule to be determined, may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
The Franklin Butchery is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Apprentice Butchers / Butcher Assistants. In this role, you will support the head butcher with a range of tasks including meat preparation, cutting, packaging, and providing excellent service at the counter. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in developing their butchery skills and working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the head butcher with the preparation and cutting of meats to specification.
- Package meat products for sale and ensure proper labeling and presentation.
- Provide courteous and knowledgeable counter service to customers.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary butchery area, including equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Follow all food safety regulations and store policies.
- Support inventory management and restocking as needed.
