We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Diet Technician to join our Dining and Nutrition Services department. The Diet Technician will be responsible for clerical duties and coordinating client care information for clinical and food service use. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.

Competencies:

• Prints all production sheets for food service use.
• Performs typing as needed.
• Receives incoming calls for Nutrition Services and follows through until resolved.
• Assists clients with menu marking when needed.
• Distributes/delivers via walking or driving menus to various sites throughout facility.
• Records all diet changes, admissions, discharges in computer and book and follows through with corrective actions.
• Coordinates census with computer diet rosters.
• Inputs clinical client related information into computer.
• Works in kitchen in case of emergency.
• Coordinates all client marking menus.
• Inputs selective menus in to computer.

Schedule: 11:00am-7:00pm Monday - Friday & Every Other Weekend 10:00am-6:00pm.

Education: High School Diploma.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.

Qualifications:

• 1 year Healthcare Food Service experience.
• Communicates with department personnel.
• Must be able to answer and communicate via telephone.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Must have the ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
