At The Crossroads Center, we serve as a beacon of hope, directing individuals toward promising futures. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in our 24 / 7 residential unit, delivering essential care and support to our clients during their most critical moments.

Shift : 7 : 30 AM to 8 : 00 PM or 7 : 30 PM to 8 : 00 AM

Work Schedule : 3 days a week, rotating weekends and holidays

As a Behavioral Health Technician, You Will :

  • Assist clients with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor and document client behaviors with precision and accuracy.
  • Plan and lead therapeutic recreation activities for groups.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff on special projects.
  • Conduct individual and group activities.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients and the treatment team.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
  • Maintain a compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
  • Observe, document, and report patient behavior to the appropriate clinician.
  • Monitor patient activities and behaviors, promptly reporting any changes to the assigned nurse.
  • Provide crisis intervention and employ supportive communication techniques.

    • What You Will Bring :

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, knowledge of DSM IV diagnoses, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • MA (Medical Assistant) Certification Required.

    • Physical Demands :

  • Ability to perform tasks such as sitting, walking, balancing, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
