Gear Machinist

Job Title : Gear Machinist

Location : Garden Grove, CA

Hourly Rate : $35 - $40

We are a leader in the Manufacturing industry and have been providing our customers with innovative, high-quality products for over 100 years. We are seeking an experienced gear machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience with gear shaping, cutting, hobbing, & grinding to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for the operation of the following CNC gear machining equipment and part inspection :

  • Mitsubishi SE25A gear shaper
  • Drake CNC hobber
  • Reishauer gear grinder
  • Other similar types of equipment

Skills Required :

  • 5+ years of experience in CNC gear cutting.
  • Experience with using gear shaping, hobbing, and grinding external and internal gears to drawing requirements.
  • Experience with using manual and CMM inspection equipment to verify external and internal gears to drawing requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of set-up, fixturing, gear cutting and grinding tools, feeds, and speeds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
