Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and energetic VPK Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth while ensuring compliance with Florida’s VPK standards.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement HighScope-inspired lessons aligned with the Florida VPK Education Standards .

Create and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes independence, collaboration, and learning through play.

Observe, assess, and document children’s progress using authentic assessment tools.

Foster strong, supportive relationships with families through regular communication, conferences, and updates.

Collaborate with colleagues and administration to ensure a consistent, high-quality educational experience for all students.

Maintain classroom organization, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.

Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.

Qualifications

Must meet Florida Department of Education VPK Teacher Requirements , including one of the following :

Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC or equivalent), or

Florida Staff Credential and completion of the Department of Education VPK training modules.

High school diploma or higher required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Minimum one year of experience working with preschool-age children.

Knowledge of the HighScope Curriculum or willingness to be trained.

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Passion for early education and a genuine love for working with young children.
