Unit Overview : You will join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , providing care to a diverse patient population including :
Post-operative cases, including craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resectionsSpine surgeries in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regionsPatients undergoing treatment for hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramA high volume of spinal surgeries and medical overflow casesThis role is part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , providing you with access to the latest neurosurgical techniques and state-of-the-art care.
Your Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safe and compassionate patient care.Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to ensure optimal outcomes.Maintain a positive patient experience throughout the care continuum.Why Join Us?

Using the nursing process for patient assessments and individualized care plans.Recognizing significant changes in patient conditions and implementing appropriate interventions.Ensuring patient safety and educating patients and families on care plans.Coordinating discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach.Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care experience.Qualifications :
Licensure : Registered Nurse license in the practicing state and BLS certification from the AHA.Education : Completion of an accredited nursing program.Experience : Minimum of 1 year in clinical nursing.Key Skills :
Ability to provide holistic patient care with a family focus.Proficient in electronic medical records and demonstrating strong communication skills.Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.Capable of effective decision-making under pressure.Physical Requirements :
