Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support an elementary school during a maternity leave period. This full-time, on-site role offers meaningful experience working with young students in a school setting within the Chesapeake, VA area.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all school and state regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and progress monitoring

Qualifications :

  • Active Virginia SLP license required
  • Experience working with elementary school students preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently
  • Commitment to maintaining a supportive and positive learning environment

    • Location : Chesapeake, VA (Virginia Beach area)

    Assignment Dates : Approximately September 25, 2025 December 18, 2025

    Schedule : Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday

    Worksite : On-site at Grassfield Elementary

    This contract position provides an excellent chance to contribute to a school community while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic educational environment.
