Staff Accountant Position

If so the Staff Accountant seat on the Chattanooga Robert Half project accounting team could be the position for you! This is a permanent benefited position that allows you the opportunity to work in a variety of industries and settings including on site, hybrid, and remotely. While each project is a bit different, the key responsibilities for this role include :

• Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
• Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
• Take part in various department-wide initiatives
• Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
• Take part in the implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
• Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management
• Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
• Maintain monthly payment schedules
• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
