Job Title : Senior Manager - Accounting

Location : Charlotte, NC (Local Candidates Only - No Travel Support)

Duration : Several months, with potential for extension

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Accounting to support our client in the automotive services industry. The focus will be on addressing current deficiencies in lease accounting and property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) processes, implementing permanent improvements, and ensuring a smooth transition to permanent hires.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to clean up lease accounting and PP&E deficiencies .
  • Propose and implement sustainable process improvements , which may include evaluating and deploying a new lease accounting system .
  • Provide hands-on support to stabilize day-to-day accounting operations while driving long-term solutions.
  • Partner with leadership and teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and operational efficiency.
  • Support the transition to permanent staff hires , ensuring strong knowledge transfer and continuity.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in lease accounting (at least one candidate must be strong in this area).
  • Strong background in Property, Plant & Equipment (PP&E) accounting.
  • Solid track record of process improvement and implementing accounting systems or tools.
  • Prior experience working in industries with complex lease and asset structures (automotive, manufacturing, or related industries preferred).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, while also collaborating across teams.
  • Must be based in Charlotte, NC (no relocation or travel coverage available).
