Customer Service Specialist I
Location : Chicago, IL or Joliet, IL
Employment Type : Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, or carriers based on customer requests and operational requirements.
- Monitor and track the real-time location and status of drivers and vehicles using GPS and dispatch software.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and customers to provide status updates, delivery instructions, and resolve service issues.
- Coordinate daily operations and adjust dispatch schedules as needed due to delays, traffic, or emergencies.
- Relay accurate and timely information regarding delivery times, service requests, and route changes.
- Provide real-time updates and support to drivers and promptly respond to inquiries or disruptions.
- Manage last-minute changes or emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Manage delivery order data received from customers and update relevant information in the master file and Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Collaborate with other departments, including Customer Service, Operations, and Settlement, to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Preferred Qualifications
The base pay range for this role is between $48,000 - $68,000 / yr, and your base pay will depend on your experiences, qualifications, and skills.
