About The Position

Job Title : MRI Tech Profession : Radiology Specialty : MRI Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 1+ years License : ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or advanced registry eligible Certifications : Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or advanced registry eligible Must-Have : Proficient at venipuncture Description : The MRI Tech is responsible for managing patient assessments using appropriate policies and protocols. They will evaluate orders, document contrast, and monitor patient responses before, during, and after imaging procedures. The role includes interpreting changes in patient conditions and initiating appropriate actions. The MRI Tech must exhibit a high degree of organization and coordinate with other areas to ensure smooth patient flow. Clinical expertise is demonstrated through proficiency in performing and assisting in procedures according to hospital policies. The individual will screen for safety precautions while patients and staff are in the MRI suite. They are alert to safety regarding MRI equipment and surrounding conditions. The MRI Tech provides patient education based on the patient's and significant other's knowledge and readiness to learn. Documentation is to be completed in a timely manner, ensuring legibility, conciseness, and accuracy. Participation in performance improvement processes is required, identifying opportunities to enhance patient care delivery. The MRI Tech will mentor and orient team members and students. They are responsible for verifying patient data and assisting with examination accuracy. Working with physicians on PACS is part of the role to ensure quality assurance. Safety is prioritized by screening all patients and visitors for contraindications. They will ascertain MRI compatibility for patient-specific metallic implants and equipment. Maintaining and monitoring MRI equipment for unsafe conditions is crucial. This role is essential in providing comprehensive imaging solutions with a focus on quality and safety.
