Job Summary:

Provides assistance to nurses in the Emergency Room with care to patients under the direct supervision of a nurse.

Job Functions:

• Ensures comfort and safety of patients at all times and answers all call bells promptly.
• Transports patients to floors as needed or to and from vechicles as necessary.
• Assists with activities of daily living and repositions patients per plan of care.
• Takes vitals, accu checks, measures input/output, performs EKGs, lab draws, casting/splinting, start IVs, and weighs patients as required/ordered.
• The tech is responsible for stocking supplies.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current EMT (Basic, I or P).
• Current BLS required.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
