Shift Notes : Days : 12 hrs : 9-21 : 30 (Variable Start, Variable Shift) 36 hrs guaranteed

Weekend Requirements : Only on call weekends not scheduled

On Call Requirements : On call nights and weekends (rotation with current staff)

Job Description :

Key responsibilities include :

Patient Monitoring : Continuously monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature) and the patient's level of consciousness as they recover from anesthesia.

Airway Management : Ensure a patent airway and adequate respiratory function, intervening quickly if an obstruction or respiratory distress occurs.

Symptom and Pain Management : Administer medications, such as painkillers, anti-nausea drugs, and fluids, to manage post-operative symptoms effectively and keep the patient comfortable.

Assessment and Intervention : Assess surgical sites for bleeding or complications, check dressings, and perform physical assessments. Recognize adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgery and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.

Documentation and Communication : Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members regarding the patient's condition and care plan.

2 years PACU experience - Required

Certification Requirements

BLS (AHA)

State License Requirements

Michigan
