Cosmetology Educator

Paul Mitchell the School NYC is seeking a qualified Cosmetology Learning Leader (Educator) to join our team! Clinic and Classroom Learning Leader Role

Classroom and clinic Learning Leaders plan and facilitate classes from an accredited and approved curriculum specific to Paul Mitchell Schools. The objective is to meet graduation requirements for hands on and theoretical knowledge in a fun and engaging classroom and clinic classroom. Our school plans classes that cater to all multiple intelligences and learning styles.

What We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have successful previous teaching experience and strong leadership skills as well as experience with Paul Mitchell products. He or she must be self-motivated to meet goals, as well as inspire, inspect, and coach team members in all clinic floor systems including up-selling, rebooking, and guest service systems. This position requires experience in positive and effective communication, customer service resolution and teamwork. Must be able to think on their feet and problem solve in a fast paced environment and multi task.

Skills/Competencies Required:

• Experience instructing at a cosmetology school or adequate experience in the industry
• Full Current NYS Cosmetology license for a min of 2 years
• Excellent organization, coaching, and communication skills
• Skills in supervision, teamwork, documentation, and return on investment
• Solid work history with verifiable references
• Passion for the beauty industry
• Honesty and professionalism
• Knowledge in Paul Mitchell Schools' cultural and technical systems is preferred
