Experience with reverse-engineering and maintaining legacy systems. Ability to follow change control, documentation, and testing processes. Understanding of accounting or financial workflow systems is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 5 years of MS Access Development 5 years of Visual Basic for Applications 5 years of ActiveX Data Objects 5 years of MS Access SQL and Query design 3 years of experience splitting MS Access Databases into Front Ends and Back Ends 4 years of experience translating business logic to SQL 4 years of experience writing stored procedures and migrating tables from MS Access to SQL Server 4 years of experience converting MS Access Forms / Reports to Web-based applications Experience with QuickBase Rapid Application Development Platform is desired
Access / SQL Database Developer
Location : Little Rock, AR
Duration : 6 months (Onsite)
Seeking an Access / SQL Database Developer to stabilize and support our current Access / SQL system. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the reliability of daily operations and creating comprehensive documentation.
Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects in the existing Access front end and SQL Server back end.
- Ensure daily operational workflows function consistently and accurately.
- Document business logic, database relationships, and application workflows.
- Provide knowledge transfer to internal staff.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify issues and confirm successful resolutions.
- Coordinate with the modernization project team for alignment.
