Mission : Share My Meals fights both food insecurity and the environmental impact of food

waste by recovering and delivering healthy meals in local communities.

Job Responsibilities :

The Driver will support the pickup and delivery of meals and use their own vehicle (mileage

reimbursed). The Driver will interact with local corporations and other non-profit organizations

as necessary to complete the recovery of meals and the donation of meals to those in need in

NJ.

• Pick up meals and food from food donors in northern New Jersey, including Morristown, Somerville, East Orange, Summit, Raritan, Peapack-Gladstone, and Victory Gardens.
• Deliver meals to participating nonprofit organizations in a safe and timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of recoveries / deliveries and complete necessary paperwork
• Communicate with staff, volunteers, food donors and food recipients in a professional and timely manner to provide schedule / recovery / delivery updates and report any concerns or issues
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
• Follow a strict food safety protocol

Skills / Requirements :

Report to : Regional Operations Associate

Job Type : Part-time, Tues – Sat (Typically 10-15 hours per week)

Pay : $20 / hour- must have car and insurance (mileage reimbursement)

Experience

License / Certification : Driver’s License and vehicle access (required)
