Overview
Copywriter role at Cactus. Paired with an Art Director partner to concept and execute brand ideas, actions, campaigns, and communications that meet and exceed clients’ business objectives.
The right individual will have an exceptional portfolio displaying conceptual problem-solving skills, strong headlines, well-written copy, and the ability to produce integrated creative across a variety of tactical applications.

Salary
$60k - 75k, commensurate with experience
This is a Denver-based role with a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH.
Responsibilities
- Develop fearless, un-ignorable creative concepts that help solve our clients’ business problems.
- Apply creative solutions to a wide range of tactics, including video ideas and scripts; digital advertising (banners, paid social video and static, rich media, etc.); print ads, poster and outdoor; events, activations, and non-traditional tactics; logo design and branding, packaging, collateral systems; printing technology and art; digital interfaces (web, app, etc.); UI and UX design; etc.
- Apply strategic insights in ways that solve assignments with creative ingenuity.
- Prepare work for internal and client presentations and for production vendors.
- Present and sell outstanding creative work to clients.
- Lead and guide the copywriting and storyline aspects for assigned projects.
- Apply feedback with thoughtfulness, creativity, and intelligence.
- Work closely and cross-departmentally with all other team members through all project phases.
- Coordinate with internal teams to manage vendors, freelancers, and artists.
- Simultaneously manage multiple complex assignments with overlapping timelines while maintaining quality and excellence.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience as a creative copywriter within an advertising agency setting.
- Portfolio and reel demonstrating talent, judgment, imagination, and the ability to generate consistently outstanding concepts, campaigns, copy solutions, and other communications ideas for various brands.
- Schooling in creative advertising and conceptual development (advertising degree preferred, but not required).
- Writing experience across several forms of media.
- Knowledge of mechanics of writing and grammar: punctuation, spelling, structure, and content organization.
- Flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to client needs.
- Passion for advertising, creativity, and commercial art.
- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Consistently optimistic and solution-oriented team player.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented.
