About this Position
The Animal Shelter Specialist is responsible for the daily care, feeding, and welfare of animals in the shelter, including cleaning kennel areas and cages. They also administer medicines, assist the vet with spay/neuter surgeries, and euthanize animals as needed. They also assist the public and help with the operation of the shelter.
This position requires weekend availability, so employees must be flexible to adjust hours as needed. Scheduled days and hours may vary and will be determined based on the needs of the department.
