Houseperson
The purpose of the Houseperson (Houseman / Facility Attendant), is to provide the highest level of service to our guests by ensuring that the hotel's public areas and back of house are kept clean and in excellent condition in accordance with Marriott standards.
Responsibilities
- General cleaning duties : Deep clean bathrooms, tile floors, rotate mattresses, wash windows and screens as directed, strip and wax floors, spot clean or shampoo carpet on a scheduled basis, clean hotel dumpster as directed.
- Assist Director of Housekeeping in monthly amenities inventory.
- Cleans parking lot and grounds : Responsible for picking up trash and maintaining a clean, fresh appearance of parking lot. Regularly sweep and hose down entry ways.
- Stocking duties : Maintains the in-room storage areas with linen, paper and other items dictated by the hotel.
- Room attendant carts : Check carts 2-3 times a day, to maintain the carts. They need to be free of dirty linen, trash, glasses and cups and re-stocked with fresh items as needed.
- Cross-training : Perform Suite Attendant and Laundry Attendant duties as directed.
- Meeting rooms and banquets : Assist in the set-up of meeting rooms during and after the event. (if applicable)
- Keep the laundry room, housekeeping office and housekeeping storage areas clean and organized.
- Operate housekeeping and laundry equipment in correct and safe manner.
- Complete maintenance work orders and deliver to designated area in a timely manner.
- Complete special cleaning projects as needed.
- Clean rooms as needed or requested by management.
- The delivery of linen and requested suite items to Room Attendants
Requirements
