Security Control Assessor

A company is looking for a Security Control Assessor to support cybersecurity solutions for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct independent assessments of security controls for IT systems

Plan and conduct security authorization reviews and develop assurance cases

Perform risk analysis and provide input to the Risk Management Framework process

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and organizational requirements

Familiarity with system and application security threats and vulnerabilities

Understanding of data security standards such as PII, PCI, and PHI

Experience with cybersecurity policy, risk management, and threat mitigation
